How to rip DVD and put video to iPod

As we konw, DVD is MPEG video, and iPod supports only MP4 and H.264 video, if your video is not compatible with iPod, you can not add it to iTunes library and sync it to iPod. So this step by step guide will teach you how to rip DVD and put any video on iPod. This guide works for all serise of iPod including iPod Touch, iPod Nano, and iPod Classic, etc.
This guide includes Three parts:

How to rip and put copyright protected DVD movie to iPod |
Download and install the DVD iPod Converter Suite, put DVD disc into your computer. Run the software and click "Load DVD" to add DVD files from your DVD drive. You also can click “File” button to import ISO or IFO file from your computer hard disk.
Regular DVD movie has several chapters, you can convert all chapters into one mp4 video, after you load DVD files into the software, you will see an option namde "Merge into one file", click it, then you will get one file. If you only want certain chapters from the DVD, just click the chapters you want to convert.
This software supports selecting subtitle and audio, click the drop-down list to select Subtitle and Audio you want.
This iPod Converter supports all series of iPod, you can click the “Format” combo-box to select proper profile according to your iPod type. The "iPod Video MPEG-4" profile works pretty well for all iPods.
You can also use this software to extract audio track from DVD to MP3, AAC, WAV or M4A audio, it would work on all mp3 players such as iPod Shuffle, Zune, Phone, iRiver, Archos, etc.
After all things done, click “Start” to run the conversion process. It would take about 30 minutes to rip a regular DVD movie. If you want to add the converted video to iPod VIA iTunes, follow these steps:
1. Locate the converted videos and drag them to iTunes library.
2. plug in your iPod to computer, then iTunes will detect your iPod as a device.
3. Select your iPod device on the left panel of iTunes, click "Movies" tab, check the videos you want to sync and click "Apply", that's all.
If you do not want to use iTunes, you can use the iPod Copy Manager provides by this DVD to iPod Converter; (The iPod Manager support all series of iPod besides iPod Touch).
