The video formats Aimersoft Video Converter supports are as follows:

Step1. Install and run Aimersoft Video Converter, click the “Add” button to import your videos. Aimersoft Video Converter supports batch conversion, so you can import multiple files at a time. If you experience any problems adding videos by directly clicking the “Add” button, you can click “File -> Add DirectShow files…” to add the video files you want to convert from your computer.

Step2. This software can convert video to various video formats for iPod, PSP, Zune, cell phone, etc. Click the “Format” drop-down list to select the format you prefer for each added file. If you don’t know what formats your device supports, you can just select the format according to the device name.

If you want to customize the output quality, click the “Settings” button to open the Settings panel, where you can set resolution, frame rate, video bit rate, audio bit rate, sample, etc. You also can create a Settings profile and save it, and then you won’t have to set the same settings every time. Since Aimersoft Video Converter supports batch conversion, you can use different profiles for the added video files to save your time. Tips:
If you want to convert video to iPod, this software has a free iPod Copy Manager, which can directly transfer the converted video to iPod without iTunes. Just connect your iPod to computer, click “Tools” -> “iPod Copy Manager”, then you will see a pop-up window, locate the folder where the converted files are save to show the files in the left pane (the right pane is the file list on your iPod), select the files you want to sync, and click the “right arrow” button to transfer them to your iPod. You also can copy files from iPod to computer to backup your iPod files in case your computer crashes and you lose your iTunes library.

For PSP, this software also provides a PSP Video Manager that fully supports all PSP firmware versions (former 3.0 or 3.0 later). Click “Tool”-> PSP Video Manager, and the steps to transfer files to PSP are the same.

Tips

Video files downloaded from YouTube are stream videos (flv). You have to convert them to MP4 or WMV video to transfer them to your iPod, iPhone, PSP, Zune or cell phone. If you don’t know how to download YouTube videos to your computer, you can refer to this guide;
After you download YouTube videos to your computer, convert them with Aimersoft Video Converter and use iTunes or Zune software to transfer the converted videos to iPod, PSP, Zune and cell phone. If you want to cut the black edges off your video, you can click the “Crop” button to open the crop panel. There is a frame in dashed line around the movie video; you can drag it to cut off the sides you don’t want. You can also type in values in the four Crop value boxes to crop your video more accurately.

If you want to join several video files into one file, on the main interface, tick the check box “Merge into one file”, and you will only get one output file instead of multiple files.

This video converter provides rich video editing functions, you can click the “Effect” button and customize the brightness, saturation, contrast; volume, etc on the Effect panel. You can even apply special effects such as “Emboss”, “Negative”, “Old film” and “Gray” by selecting a special effect from its drop-down list.
